At The Cat’s Meow Cat Clinic, we offer a variety of services to care for your cat. If you have any questions or would like more information on how we can care for your cat, please contact us today.
Exams and Consultations
Our staff will get a chance to talk to you and see if you are having any trouble with your cat. We will also go over diet, preventative medicine, and exercise to ensure that your cat is as healthy as possible. Then, one of our veterinarians will do a complete physical examination on your cat. It is always good to have a baseline in case your cat ever becomes ill. We also want to monitor your cat’s weight, ensuring that your cat stays a healthy weight. It is much easier to start a diet when a cat is a pound overweight instead of fifteen! Our veterinarian will also look for any potential problems. Our goal is to catch any problems before they become major ones. The sooner that we are able to catch a problem, the easier it is to treat it and the more likely that your cat will make a full recovery!
Nutritional Counseling
Obesity is a common problem among cats, as it can be easy to over-feed a cat that knows how to beg. But being overweight is a serious problem for animals, and can cause real health problems as they get older. With proper diet and exercise, all cats should be able to meet their dietary needs and be within a healthy weight range.
Cat’s nutritional needs change as they enter different stages of their lives. The best way to make sure your cat’s needs are being met is to consult with us about a diet made specifically for his or her lifestyle.
Boarding
At The Cat’s Meow Cat Clinic we offer window view luxury cat condos for boarding. Your kitty will have plenty of activity to watch, with occasional duck parades and personalized attention while you are away. For the more timid kitty a quieter environment is available. Since we at The Cat’s Meow Cat Clinic want to provide the best care for your cat, a full current exam is required for the medical record. This requirement is necessary so that we may be aware of your kitty’s medical needs during their stay with us.
Prior to your kitty’s stay, we do require a current veterinary exam by our doctor to assure awareness of your kitty’s health and any special needs that may be needed during his or her stay with us. We have a “Flea Free” policy for the clinic and we will treat for fleas if indicated. Cats that are staying with us will be cared for every day, twice a day, including the weekends and holidays. If your stay includes the weekend and/ or holiday, please plan to pick up your kitty during our regular business hours during the week, for we will be closed and unable to release the kitty for pickup throughout the weekend / holiday. Boarding charges are on a day basis, with check out time by 11 AM and we do require a deposit prior to drop off. Vaccination requirements are that the kitty should be current with Rabies and the other vaccines appropriate to their lifestyle.
Schedule your boarding reservation today! For a tour of our boarding facilities, feel free to drop by anytime.
Surgery
We believe in utilizing the highest level of medical technology, and our surgeons are experienced and highly trained. We also realize that it can be stressful to have your cat undergo surgery. We want to assure you that your cat is in good hands, and that we will do everything to provide the best care possible. We will communicate with you about the things you need to know before, during, and after your cat’s surgery. It is our goal to make the entire process go smoothly, and to eliminate the stress and worry of surgical procedures.
Vaccinations
There are a variety of diseases which affect our cats and other animals. This makes proper vaccination vital in protecting them from the many types of illnesses they are susceptible to. It’s important to consult with us about the unique risks of living in our region. We will be happy to discuss the benefits of protecting your cat with vaccinations, as well as, provide you with information on the required vaccinations for your cat.
Microchipping
Every year, thousands and thousands of cats go missing. Not knowing where your cat is or how to bring them back can be a helpless, hopeless feeling. It’s a tragedy that happens all too often. But there is a simple, safe, and effective way to ensure your cat’s safety and retrieval should they ever become lost. Microchipping is a standard procedure that implants a tiny chip underneath your cat’s fur. It is a painless and relatively fast procedure, and is completely safe. This microchip is registered with your cat’s vital information, and can be scanned by any veterinarian or animal shelter so that they can return your cat directly to you.
Preventative Medicine
Regular checkups allow us to establish a baseline in your cat’s health and make us aware of any changes that may indicate future problems. We highly recommend bringing your cat in for regular exams. Often times health problems that go undetected can become more serious issues when left untreated, so checkups are important even when your cat appears healthy.
Diagnostics
Our hospital provides a wide variety of in-house diagnostic testing with the most state of the art technology available. It is our goal to provide your cat with the highest level of care possible, and our diagnostic tools help us do that.
Pharmacy
We offer a fully stocked pharmacy to fill your cat’s prescription needs. Having an on-site pharmacy provides you with a more convenient way to get your cat’s medication. We hope that this will save you time and ultimately enhance your experience with us.
Dental Care & Digital Radiography
Dental care is vital to the overall health of any cat. Dental disease can lead to health issues with the heart, liver, and kidneys, and can affect the entire body through the bloodstream. In fact, 70 percent of cats over three years of age suffer from some form of dental disease, making it the most common cat health issue among our cat population.
One way we give your cats the best care is with digital radiology. It is quick. We can often see the images seconds after we take the films. It also saves time because we don’t have to repeat films if they are too dark or too light. We can simply change the contrast!
Behavior Counseling
We offer solutions for a variety of behavioral issues that cat owners are faced with. Behavioral problems can be challenging and frustrating for both cats and cat owners, so it is our goal to work with you towards a solution.
